Vision: BEV 2025
Adopted at the 4th BIMP-EAGA Summit in Manila in 2017, BIMP-EAGA Vision 2025 (BEV 2025) represents the sub-region's strategic roadmap for achieving inclusive and sustainable development. The vision encapsulates the collective aspirations of Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines to transform the BIMP-EAGA region into a competitive, resilient, and people-centered growth area.
"A Resilient, Inclusive, Sustainable, and Economically competitive sub-region that improves the quality of life of its people"

2. Food Security and Agriculture
Promoting sustainable agriculture, fisheries, and aquaculture to ensure food security while protecting marine and terrestrial ecosystems.
3. Tourism Development
Developing sustainable and responsible tourism that leverages the sub-region's rich biodiversity, cultural heritage, and natural attractions.
4. Environment and Climate Action
Addressing climate change, protecting biodiversity hotspots, and promoting green growth pathways aligned with international commitments.
5. Digital Economy
Accelerating digital transformation, enhancing digital infrastructure, and building digital skills to create new economic opportunities.
Alignment with Global Goals
BEV 2025 is strategically aligned with the ASEAN Community Vision 2025, the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and the Paris Agreement on Climate Change. This alignment ensures that BIMP-EAGA contributes to broader regional and global development agendas while addressing the specific needs and opportunities of the sub-region.
Implementation Approach
BEV 2025 is implemented through multi-year action plans, flagship projects, and collaborative initiatives supported by member countries and development partners. The BIMP-EAGA Korea Cooperation Fund (BKCF) plays a key role in financing projects that advance the RISE pillars, with particular emphasis on green growth and sustainable development outcomes.
